  • Approval: decision by an approver to accept or send back a policy
  • Business Unit: organizational group used to scope policies and users
  • Draft: editable policy not yet submitted for approval
  • Library: policies available for read-only access without acknowledgement
  • Pending Approval: policy submitted and waiting on approver decision
  • Pending Review: policy due for scheduled review
  • Policy Template: reusable base used to generate policies
  • Policy Version: a saved snapshot created each time a policy is updated
  • Review Cycle: scheduled interval for policy review
